  NORA L. BEAL
  
    Nora L. Beal, 85, of Grantsville RD 1, Md., formerly of Meyersdale, died
  Oct. 12, 1980, in Oakland, Md.
    She was born Jan. 31, 1895, in Meyersdale, daughter of the late John and
  Catherine (Fike) Smearman.
    She was preceded in death by husband, Chauncey; and two sons, John and
  William.
    She is survived by these children:  Emerson of Winder; Ernest, Mrs.
  Marion Staub and Mrs. Peggy Moses, all of Meyersdale; Robert, El Paso,
  Texas; Mrs. Florence Horchler, Grantsville RD 1; Mrs. Hilda Miller, Conroe,
  Texas; Mrs. Betty Raupauch, Glencoe; Mrs. Ruth Warehime, Hampstead, Md.; and
  Mrs. Donna Foy, Berlin RD 1; also 33 grandchildren and 24
  great-grandchildren.
    She was a sister of Mrs. Florence Kretchman, Johnstown.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Robert Payne officiating. Interment,
  Reformed Cemetery.
