  BEAL
  
    Robert E. Beal, 78, of Glencoe Rd 1, formerly of Greensburg RD 4, died
  Sept. 30, 1996, at home.  Born March 2, 1918, in Brothersvalley Township,
  son of John and Mary (Eisentrout) Beal.  Preceded in death by parents;
  stepmother, Grace (Dively) Beal and brothers: Glenn Beal and Lewis
  Gartner.  Survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Virginia Homer and
  these children:  William, married to the former Cindy Knop, Irwin; Ken,
  married to the former Suzan Fitzsimmons, Confluence; and Linda, wife of
  Dennis Hazlett, New Alexandria; also 11 grandchildren, 2
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Carmen Kern, Fairhope; Clifford Beal,
  Sarasota, Fla.; Helen Bruck, Volant; Paul Beal, Friedens RD 2 and Mary
  Slayback, Tuscon, Ariz.  Retired from Westinghouse Electric, East
  Pittsburgh.  Member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Glencoe;
  National Wild Turkey Federation, and Berlin Sportsmen's Association.  Life
  member of the NRA.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.  Service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday at Mt. Olivet U.M. Church, Glencoe, Revs. Craig L. Lyman and
  Ralph G. Landis.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.  No viewing at
  the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer
  Society or the American Heart Association.
