He was born June 15, 1927, in Boynton, the son of Robert Fay Beal Sr. and Margaret Marie (Fleigle) Beal, both deceased. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma W. Beal Ross and her husband, Barron E. Ross; a brother, Jack D. Beal, and Jack's son, Darrell Beal. Surviving are two sisters, Donna M. Beal Lishia, Boynton, and Arlene F. Beal Green, Springs; a sister- in-law, Darlene Steele Beal, Florida. He was an uncle to three generations of nieces and nephews. He had several years of service in the U.S. Navy. He had many jobs over the years. The first one clerking at the A&P in Salisbury with Doris Deal. He worked at construction, managed several Acme stores and worked for the Pa. Turnpike. His last job was rural mail carrier, for the Salisbury Post Office. He enjoyed that job and all the families he had on his route. His passions were good art, music, books and doing things for his church, St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury. Besides being member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, he was also a member of Tub Mill Arts and the Salisbury American Legion Post 459. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
