  BEALE
  
    Howard Smith Beale Jr., 77, of Marietta, Ohio, died March 15, 1999, in
  St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, W.Va.  Born July 4, 1921, in Great
  Falls, Mont.  Member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.  Survived by wife of 52
  years, Luella Rhoads Beale of Marietta, formerly of Stoystown; two
  daughters, Jeanetta Pyle and husband James, of Grandville, Ohio, and Gladys
  Weinstock and her husband Thomas of Conroe, Texas; son, Howard Smith Beale
  III and his wife Nancy of Lubbock, Texas; also 5 grandchildren.  Preceded
  in death by parents.  Services were held at St. Luke's.  Burial, East Lawn
  Memorial Park, with full military rites.
