  JOHN H. BEALS
  
    John H. Beals, 83, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Dec. 2, 1974.  Born in 1891,
  in Elk Lick Township, Meyersdale RD 1, he was a son of the late George W.
  and Agnes (Bittner) Beals.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Velma I. Gnagey; four children, Norval
  E. Beals, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Lorea M. Ruebling, Wheaton, Md.; Mabel
  Robertson, Meyersdale; and Ward E. Beals, of Coal Run, Meyersdale RD 1;
  also 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret
  Staub, Coal Run; Hattie Shawley, Bittinger, Md.; and a brother, Roy E.
  Beals, Salisbury.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, William, Irvin and
  James Beals, and two sisters, Mollie Rhodes and Edith Bowser, and a
  granddaughter.
    He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ.
    Funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 7, in Konhaus Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment in St. Paul
  Cemetery.
