Born Feb. 13, 1931, in Eagle Lake, Texas, son of the late Leslie Ralph and Myrtle Beals. Survived by wife, Melba, of Russellville; two sons, Ronald and Mark, and a daughter, Connie, all of Confluence. Also six grandchildren; two brothers, Gilbert and James of Houston, Texas, and a sister, Betty of Arkansas. Veteran of U.S. Air Force and owner/operator of Ralph Welding Inc. Member of the American Welding Society, the United Association of Pipe Fitters, Russellville Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Also a sponsor of the Boy's Club and an adviser to the Petti Jean Vo-Tech School and the Career Center at Russellville High School. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Richard Edmunds officiating.
