She was born September 30, 1922 in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Harry Bernard Miller and Minnie Ellen (Harding) Miller. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ezra Cox; daughter, Sheila Bear, brothers: Ray Harding and Herbert (Bill) Miller, and son-in-law, Oran C. Knopsnyder. She is survived by husband, Walter L. Bear, these children: William Cox and wife Mildred and Donna Knopsnyder, both of Somerset; Paul Barry Baer and wife, Cathy of Lake Milton, Ohio; and Richard Baer and wife, Sandy; Sharon Grasser and husband, Bill; Linda Haer and husband, Eugene; and Robyn Broadwater and husband, Kevin, all of Meyersdale, and sisters: Bernice Engle of Ohio; and Hazel Bittner, wife of Clarence, of Meyersdale. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she held numerous offices, a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at M.V.F.D., former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW, and former member of the Greasy Spoons at Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren with Rev. Pete Kaltenbaugh officiating, under the direction of the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home.
