  BEARD
  
    Robert O. Beard, 66, Macridge Ave., Johnstown, died Feb. 28, 1984, in
  Sewickley.  Born April 8, 1917, in Johnstown, a son of the late Mr. and
  Mrs. Harry C. Beard.  Preceded in death by brother, Allan.  Survived by his
  widow, the former Mary L. Baker and these children: Roger C., married to the
  former Sandra Notich, Ft. Collins, Col.; Stephen A., married to the former
  Karen Manzulich, Latrobe; Thomas A., married to the former Donna McAndrews,
  Windber; Cynthia, wife of Donald Suver, Alexandria, Va.; and Ronald E. at
  home; six grandchildren. Brother of Raymond, Erie; Harry Jr., Hagerstown,
  Md.; and Mrs. Jean Gay, Bradenton, Fla.  He was general agent of the
  Lutheran Brotherhood, Board member and past president of Johnstown Life
  Underwriters, member of the General Agents and Managers Conferences, a
  veteran of World War II, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
  Johnstown, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the
  Rev. David N. Finney.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.  Friends were received
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the R. Owen Ketterer Funeral Home,
  Geistown, and will be received until 1 p.m. Friday.  The body will be
  removed to the church for funeral services.
