  WALTER C. BECK 
  
  Walter C. Beck, 88, of Rockwood RD 1, died Dec. 8, 1973, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born April 27, 1885, in Jefferson Township, he
  was a son of Phillip and Lucinda (Hemminger) Beck.  He was preceded
  in death by his wife, the former Laura E. Barkman, two daughters, a
  son, two brothers and a sister.  Surviving are these children: Ernest
  H. Beck, of Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Frank (Zola) E. Klink, Somerset RD 4;
  and Mrs. Glenn (Violet) Johnson, Rockwood RD 2; 14 grandchildren and
  12 great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon
  in Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, with the Rev. Gene Abel
  officiating.  Interment in New Centerville Cemetery.
