EMMA J. BECKER

  Mrs. Emma J. (Walker) Becker, 78, died at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at her 
home in Meyersdale, following an illness of three weeks.  She was born Jan. 11, 
1865, a daughter of the late Josiah and Sarah (Larman) Walker.  Her husband, 
John H. Becker, died 20 years ago.
  Surviving are these children: Mrs. Susan Murphy, Meyersdale; Louis Becker, 
Friedens R.D.; Milton Becker, Dixon, Ill.; Mrs. Irvin Fresh, Mrs. John Fresh and 
Mrs. Ernest Miller, Akron, O.  She also leaves 22 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.  Mrs. Becker was a sister of Mrs. Elijah Croner, Friedens; Mrs. 
Kate Lowry, Shanksville; Joseph and Louis Walker, Shanksville, and Jacob Walker, 
Somerset. 
  Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral 
Chapel, Berlin.  Rev. F. D. Witmer officiated.  Burial in the Hay Reformed 
Church Cemetery.
