Before her neighbors could reach her side, all he clothing was burned from her body and her shoes were afire. With the exception of a small patch on her face, she was burned to a crisp and died at 8 o'clock that evening, ten hours after she was burned. The young woman was alone at the time. Her mother, who had been baking, left the house awhile and there was an unusually hot fire in the stove. It is supposed the girl's dress became ignited while she was working about the stove. Miss Becker was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker. Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Milton Becker, and one sister, Mrs. Irvin Fresh, both of Berlin. The father is a coal miner. The charred body was taken in charge by Undertaker Johnson and the funeral was held Saturday morning. Meyersdale Commercial, Nov. 18, 1915
