Beckett, 70 Millcreek Township, died July 17, 1997, at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Confluence on March 18, 1927, daughter of the late Edward L. and Sarah Jane Tallentire Lenhard. She has lived in the Erie area since 1958. She graduated from Confluence High School, class of 1944. She also graduated from Catherman's Business School in Cumberland, Md. She was employed with Reed Mfg., for 36 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, David L. Beckett; son, Keith D. Beckett and his wife Julie of Wooster, Ohio; four grandchildren: Jaime Beckett, Chelsea Beckett, Corey Becket and Chloe Beckett all of Wooster, Ohio. Also survived by several cousins, Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home Inc., West 536 W. 10th St., Erie, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2-5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday until the time of the funeral service there at 8:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Matthew Judd and Rev. James Schmittle of Kingsley United Methodist Church. Further visitation will be held at the Humbert Funeral Home, Inc., Confluence from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday A graveside service will follow at Addison Cemetery, Addison at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingsley United Methodist Church, 913 Cranberry St., Erie, Pa. 16502.
