  FLORENCE BECKMAN
  
    Mrs. Florence C. Beckman, 79, of Loch Lynn, Md., died July 4, 1978, in
  Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
    Born in Swanton, she was a daughter of the late Josiah G. Friend and Mary
  Jane (Sweitzer) Friend.
    She was a member of Loch Lynn United Brethren Church. 
    Surviving are her husband, George G. Beckman; four daughters, Mrs. Lois
  Meyers, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Norma Liller, Loch Lynn, Md.; Mrs. Mary Sue
  Davis, Swanton, Md.; Miss Delores C. Beckman, at home; two sons, Arthur E.
  Beckman, Loch Lynn, Md.; Guy H. Beckman, Swanton, Md.; two sisters, Mrs.
  Haywood Custer, Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Ildra Frantz, Swanton, Md.; four
  brothers, Wilmer E. Friend, Andrew G. Friend and Harland B. Friend, all of
  Swanton, Md.; Leslie C. Friend, Oakland, Md.; 26 grandchildren and 29
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted July 7 in Loch Lynn United Brethren Church.  The
  Rev. Oscar W. Hull officiated.  Interment, North Glade Cemetery, Swanton,
  Md.
