Beckner, 45, Somerset RD 6, died May 4, 1986, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 21, 1940, in Somerset, son of late Asa and Rebecca (Butler) Beckner. Preceded in death by father, Asa Sr.; two brothers, Asa Jr. and Richard; and brother in infancy. Survived by mother, former Rebecca Butler, Somerset RD 6; fiancee, Rose Lindeman; three brothers, John L., Manns Choice RD 1; Gary, Boswell RD 1; and Blaine, Johnstown; and twin sister, Mrs. John (JoAnn) McDaniel, Somerset RD 2. Employed by New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren, Somerset County Jeep Club, Somerset Area Civil Preparedness, and Home Aid Association of VFW. Well-known participant in tractor and truck pulls throughout the area. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wilbur D.
