  BECONY
  
  Steve Becony, 66, of 4318 Oakwood Ave., Blasdell, N.Y., formerly of
  Windber, died July 9, 1975 at our Lady of Victory Hospital, Lackawanna,
  N.Y.  Born Sept. 10, 1908, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Becony.  Preceded in
  death by parents.  Survived by his widow, the former Mary Mauger and these
  children:  Robert, married to the former Lucille Whitfield of Boswell;
  John, married to the former Martha Langley of Cleveland, Ohio; and Steve
  Jr., married to the former Dorothy Lucas of Boston, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren
  and one great-grandchild.  Was a brother of Julius of Gels town; Nick of
  Detroit, Mich.; Mary, wife of Tony Anthony of Long Island, N.Y.; and Betty,
  wife of Mark Plasay of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.  Was a retired motorman at
  Mine 37, Windber and last worked as a crane operator for Republic Steel
  Corp.  Was a member of the UMWA.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday (today) and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Joseph H.
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where services will be
  held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Fred M. Bennett officiating. 
  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
