    John Bedzyk, 84, Conemaugh Ave., Jerome, died Dec. 13, 2000 at the
  Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born April 7, 1916 in Jenners, son of
  Metro and Nellie (Zablotney) Bedzyk,  Preceded in death by parents, infant
  daughter, son Dennis "Butch", died Dec. 10, 1966, twin brother Joseph, and
  brother Stanley.  Survived by wife of 59 years, the former Mary Duplack,
  daughters Donna I. Lacko, Chicago, Ill., and Kathy, wife of Donald DeCoske,
  Richland, and grandchildren Elissa (Lacko) Kennedy and E. Daniel Lacko, both
  of Chicago, Amanda DeCoske, Columbia, Md. and Michael DeCoske, Richland. 
  Brother of Frank, Jerome, Mary Fridae and Alex, both of Chicago and Helen
  Sutrick, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.  Member of S.S. Peter and Paul Byzantine
  Catholic Church, Jerome, Tire Hill Local 998 UMWA and the Jerome Sportsman
  Club.  Employed in area coal mines for 42 years and retired from the Island
  Creek Coal Co. in 1978.  Friends received from 3 until 9 p.m. Friday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell, where Panachida will be held
  at 7:30 p.m. Friday.  Divine liturgy at 10 a.m. Saturday at S.S. Peter and
  Paul's Church.  The Rev. Father Daniel Loya celebrant.  Interment church
  cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jerome
  Volunteer Fire Department, Jerome, Pa.  15937.
