    Don Beech, 84, Brentwood, formerly of Overbrook, died June 1, 2008. Preceded
  in death by sister, Geraldine Wilhelm. Survived by wife, Alice (Newbould)
  Beech; children, Don Beech, Addison; and Sue Veverka, Whitehall; grandfather of
  Luke (Nicole) Veverka, Jefferson Hills; and Dale (Misty) Veverka, Pittsburgh;
  great-grandfather of Ryan. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Don served with
  the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a Shriner and a member of the
  former South Gate Marshall Lodge 808, currently South Hills Lodge 761. Friends
  will be received from 12 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the John F. Slater Funeral Home,
  Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, 412- 881-4100. Funeral
  service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Fairhaven Methodist Church. If desired,
