Word was received here recently of the death of Asa A. Beeghley, a former resident of this place. He was 50 years old, and a resident of Cumberland, Md., where he was in the employ of the Western Maryland Railway. He was killed on Saturday, June 20th, by falling between the cars of a moving train in the Ridgeley yards of the company, opposite Cumberland, in West Virginia. Both his legs were badly crushed and he was injured about his head and body. He is survived by two sons, Aubrey and Park, and by one daughter, Katherine, the latter, the youngest of the children, being 17 years old. Mrs. Beeghley preceded him to the grave about four months ago. He was employed for several years, about 12 years ago, on the Casselman Valley Farm near here; and operated a milk route in Confluence at that time. He was a native of Accident, Md., where funeral services were held last Tuesday morning in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev. A. B. Harper, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Accident Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, July 2, 1931
