"Chick" Beener, 67, Boswell RD 1, died May 18, 1994, at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 24, 1927, in Jenner Township, Son of Reuben A. and Pearl E. (Wright) Beener. Preceded in death by parents; infant son; brothers, Robert in 1956 and Paul in 1985, and nephews, Bobby in 1956 and Billy in 1985. Survived by wife, the former Martha Ann Blough, and daughters, Shari, at home, and Christy, Hummelstown. Brother of Warren, married to Anjean Horner, Hollsopple RD 2; Ruby, wife of Tyler Fischer, Boswell RD 1; Susan, wife of Jerry Koontz, Boswell RD 3; John, Boswell RD 1, and Nancy, Philadelphia. Also survived by sister-in-law, Peggy Beener, Hollsopple RD 2, and special nephew, Attorney James Beener of Boswell RD 1. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, Church Council and formerly taught Sunday School. Also member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66, Pittsburgh. Army veteran of World War II. Retired employee of Frank M. Sheesley Construction Co., Johnstown, with 47 years service. Observed 34th wedding anniversary on May 14, 1994. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Trinity Church. Rev. Edward N. Corneilson officiating. Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
