Beener, 96, Boswell RD 2, died March 4, 1975, in Berlin. Born Sept. 4, 1878, in Jenner Twp. Son of Daniel and Annie Speicher Beener. Preceded in death by wife Daisy A. Stufft, who died July 17, 1966. Four sisters, five brothers and a son, Dean L., killed in action in the South Pacific during World War II. Survived by these children: Ernest, Boswell RD 2; May, wife of Robert Carmona, San Diego, California; Erma Jean, wife of W. Donald Shoff, Boswell; Reuben, Boswell: William, Somerset; six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, brother of Cora, wife of John Hay, Jennerstown, and Mrs. Martha Thomas, Philadelphia. Member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. Was a retired carpenter and former employe (sic) of Boswell Lumber Co. Friends received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Jesse E. Wolf officiating. Interment, Trinity Reformed Cemetery, Jennerstown.
