  Pauline E. Beener, 69, of 639 Kircher Place, Boswell, died Oct. 20, 1988,
  at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.  Born June 14, 1919, in Burnsville, N.C.,
  daughter of Frank and Mary (Peterson) Proffitt.  Preceded in death by her
  parents and husband, Reuben W., Nov. 23, 1986.  Survived by two children:
  Patricia, wife of William Francis, Arden, N.C.; and Robert Gary Anderson,
  married to Ann Snedden, Roanoke, Va.; also five grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren.  Member of Naples Baptist Church, Naples, N.C.  No
  public visitation.  Viewing and service at convenience of family.  Pastors
  Pat and Chris Ramsey officiating.  Interment, United Church of Christ
  Cemetery, Jennerstown.  Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell. 
  Memorial contributions to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell, would be
