Beener, 76, of Boswell RD 1, died Nov. 27, 1983, at Windber Hospital. Born Aug. 5, 1907, in Maryland, daughter of Oscar and Eliza (Nedrow) Wright. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Reuben A., who died Feb. 11, 1967; son, Robert F. and grandson Robert L., who both died in 1956; also two infant grandchildren. Survived by these children: Charles, married to the former Martha Ann Blough; Ruby, wife of Tyler Fischer, and John, all of Boswell RD 1; Warren, married to the former Anjean Horner, and Paul, married to the former Peggy Drummond, both of Hollsopple RD 2; Susan, wife of Jerry Koontz, Boswell RD 3; and Nancy, Philadelphia; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Sister of: Mae Brown, Jennerstown, and John Wright, Sipesville. Member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Knotty Women of the Church. Honorary member of the auxiliary to the Jennerstown Volunteer Fire Department. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and until noon Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, when body will be removed to Laurel Trinity Church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jesse E. Wolf officiating. Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery. No viewing at the church. Memorial contributions to Hospice, in care of Windber Hospital, will be appreciated.
