  MRS. CHARLES BEGGS
  
    Emily K. Beggs, 82, of Confluence, died March 5, 1973, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Oct. 5, 1890, in Confluence, she was the daughter
  of the late Thomas and Emily (Powls) Knight.
    Surviving are five children, Miss Dorothy Beggs, Mrs. Martha Holt and
  Mrs. Elayne Kemp, all of Confluence; Walter of Midland, Texas; and Richard
  of Kutztown; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Beggs; a daughter, Mrs.
  Helen Rainey, and a grandson.
    Funeral service was held Thursday, Mar. 8, in Humbert Funeral Home
  Confluence, with Rev. Donald Clark officiating.  Interment in Somerset
  County Park.
