  Thomas Ray Beistel, 49, Somerset, died July 4, 2006. Born Nov. 3, 1956, in 
  Somerset, the son of William Glenn Beistel and Janet Marie (McClemens).
  Preceded in death by mother; sister, Amy Jo Beistel; and stepmother, the
  former Marian Ruth Hoffman. Survived by father, Somerset; stepmother, the 
  former Fay A. Cassick, Somerset; and grandmother Melda E. Beistel,
  Somerset. Graduate of Somerset High School in 1974 and a graduate with a BS
  in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He worked as
  a controller for the Somerset Foundry. He was an avid dirt biker, golfer and
  racquet ball player. He was a member of St. Paul's Church of Christ also the
  Indian Lake Men's Golf League. He was known by all as a jack-of-all trades. 
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the
  Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Service will be conducted at 1:30
  p.m Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, with the Rev.
  Matthew Deal and the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer  officiating. Interment at
  Edie Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to St. Paul's UCC, 202 Union St.,
