Born Nov. 3, 1956, in Somerset, the son of William Glenn Beistel and Janet Marie (McClemens). Preceded in death by mother; sister, Amy Jo Beistel; and stepmother, the former Marian Ruth Hoffman. Survived by father, Somerset; stepmother, the former Fay A. Cassick, Somerset; and grandmother Melda E. Beistel, Somerset. Graduate of Somerset High School in 1974 and a graduate with a BS in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He worked as a controller for the Somerset Foundry. He was an avid dirt biker, golfer and racquet ball player. He was a member of St. Paul's Church of Christ also the Indian Lake Men's Golf League. He was known by all as a jack-of-all trades. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, with the Rev. Matthew Deal and the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer officiating. Interment at Edie Cemetery.
