  BELL
  
    Ray S. Bell, 65, of Friedens RD 1, died March 3, 1978, in Windber
  Hospital.  Born Sept. 12, 1912, in Jefferson Township, a son of Jehu and
  Mary E. (Gardner) Bell.  Preceded in death by parents; one sister, Gertrude
  Kooser, and two brothers: Roy and Russell.  Survived by Lena Saylor, with
  whom he resided and these brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Roxie Barclay,
  Somerset; Park O., Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Ilga Olsen of Ligonier RD 1; Ernest
  W., Somerset RD 6; and Newton G., Somerset RD 7.  He was a member of Local
  66, ABC, and had been employed in construction work for 35 years.  Friends
  will be received after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home where services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev.
  Walter Startzell officiating. Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.  In lieu of
  flowers, family requests contributions be made to research on oncology, in
  care of Dr. Shope, Windber Hospital, Windber, Pa.
