  MRS. SAMUEL W. BENDER
  
    Barbara H. Bender, 72, Grantsville RD 1, died May 9, 1974, at her home in
  Elk Lick Township.  Born Feb. 8, 1902, in Haven, Kansas, she was a daughter
  of the late Harvey C. and Mary J. (Fry) Miller.
    Surviving are her husband, Samuel W. Bender; two sons, Harvey G. Bender,
  Grantsville RD 1; and Enos M. Bender, Spring RD; ten grandchildren; four
  sisters, Mrs. Susan Yoder, Riverside, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Helmuth, Mrs. Mattie
  Bender, Mrs. Edna Miller, Kalona, Iowa; and five brothers, Samuel H.
  Miller, Pulaski, Iowa; Clarence, Enos and Henry Miller, Kalona, Iowa; and
  Harvey Miller, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
    She was a member of the Old Order of Amish Church at Niverton, where
  funeral service was held Sunday morning with Rev. Bennie A. Yoder
  officiating.  Interment in Niverton under the direction of Thomas Funeral
  Home, Salisbury.
