  Beatrice "Bea" P. (Schantz) Bender, 80, Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord
  May 1, 2006. Born Jan. 16, 1926, in Reading, a daughter of the late Charles
  and Rose Schantz. Preceded in death by one son, Craig Bender. Survived by
  her husband, the Rev. Lamar Bender; and children, Carolyn Ketsenburg and 
  husband, Julius, Belgrade, Mo.; and the Rev. Mark Bender and wife, Cheryl, 
  Meyersdale; grandchildren, Debra, Curtis, Jonathan, Valerie, Jessica and
  Nick. Also survived by great-grand-children, Shelomi, Hasadiah, Lemuel, and
  Sophia. Survived by brother Stanley Schantz of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and
  sister, Christina Schantz, Reading. She was a member of the New Hope United 
  Church of Christ. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the New
  Hope UCC. The Rev. Mark Bender officiating. Interment in the Pleasant View
  Cemetery, Sinking Springs, Pa. Under the direction of the M. Ray Leckemby
  Funeral Home.
