  CLYDE BENDER
  
    Clyde F. Bender, 70, formerly of Grantsville, Maryland, died June 17,
  1984, at the Fazio Nursing Home, Markleysburg.
    Born in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Jacob J. Bender and Carie
  (Fogle) Bender.
    He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
    He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and a retired clerk
  with Barbour Steamship Line in New York City.  He was also employed for a
  number of years in Rome, Italy by the U.S. Department of Interior.
    Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home where services were
  conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sadie Triplett officiating. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
