Born July 16, 1919, in Meyersdale a daughter of Henry Clay and Emma Jane (Padfield) Beynon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Washington "Hans" Bender, who died March 5, 1984; son, Dr. Jack Beynon Bender, who died April 26, 1989; brothers Leonard and John Beynon and sister Nell Beynon. Survived by daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mark (Karen) Lieberman of Solon, Ohio; granddaughter, Jaclyn Holly Bender; stepgrandchildren: Josh Lieberman and wife Dana of Atlanta, Ga., Emily Lieberman of Chicago, Ill., Hallie Lieberman of Los Angeles, Calif.; step great-grandson, Miles Lieberman; brothers, J. William Beynon and wife Kathryn of LaValle, Md., and Donald R. Beynon and wife Josephine of Cumberland, Md. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, 1937 graduate of Meyersdale High School. Also a member of Somerset Garden Club and past member of Somerset Hospital Auxiliary. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset. The Rev. Raymond E. Lyon officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
