  FREIDA ELIZABETH BENDER
  
    Freida Elizabeth Bender, 81, of Route 1, Grantsville, died July 24, 1994
  at Meyersdale Medical Center.
    Born May 3, 1913 in Accident, she was the daughter of the late Solomon
  and Amanda (Brenneman) Orendorf.
    She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Orendorf on March
  31, 1989 and Alma Orendorf on July 16, 1994.
    She is survived by her husband, Alvin M. Bender; two sons, John A.
  Bender, Ephrata, Pa., and Martin R. Bender, Grantsville; two daughters,
  Mary Kanagy and Ruth Friend, both of Oakland; one brother, Hugh Orendorf,
  Accident, and 11 grandchildren.
    She was a member of the Maple Glen Mennonite Church.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on July
  26.  Services were conducted at the Maple Glen Mennonite Church on July 27,
  with Rev. Ivan Maust and Rev. Alva Maust officiating.  Interment, Maple Glen
  Cemetery.
