  BENDER
  
  George W. Bender, 72, Somerset, died March 5, 1984, at Memorial Hospital,
  Johnstown.  Born Feb. 22, 1912, in Springs, son of the late Frederick
  Walter and Malinda (Miller) Bender.  Also preceded in death by three
  brothers and one sister.  Survived by his wife, the former Nan Beynon; by a
  son, Dr. Jack B. Bender, married to the former Karen Groves, Greensburg;
  also one granddaughter, Holly.  Brother of: Harvey G., Meyersdale; and
  Lucretia Maust, Salisbury.  Member of the Calvary United Methodist Church,
  the F.O.E., former partner of Bender Implement Co.  Friends received at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where
  services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry Sherry
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
