Bender, Mrs. J. J.

  Mrs. J. Bender died Friday evening March 10 after an illness lasting over a 
year. She is survived by her husband and six children, ranging in age from two 
to seventeen years. Interment was made in the Grantsville Cemetery, after which 
funeral services were held in the M. E. Church of which she had been a long time 
member. The sermon was preached by Rev. Morris, a former pastor of the deceased. 
Mrs. Bender was well known here and at Salisbury her girlhood home. The funeral 
procession was one of the largest in this place for years.
