MARY W. BENDER

  Mary W. Bender died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Katie Peachey on Tuesday, 
October 1st, about noon of nephritis.  Miss Bender had been ill for a long time 
before her death.  She was a daughter of William and Susan (Hostetler) Bender 
and was born in Garrett Co., Maryland, on September 16, 1903, being 43 years and 
15 days old at her demise.  She is survived by three sisters, Annie and Ada 
Bender and Mrs. Peachey, all of Route 1, Salisbury; and three brothers, Iddo W. 
Bender of Belleville, Pa. and Daniel and Samuel Bender of Grantsville, Md., R.D.
  Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, October 3rd, at 10:0 a.m. in the 
Flag Run Amish Church, with the Rev. Joseph J. Yoder officiating.  Interment in 
Church Cemetery in charge of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician.
