  SAMUEL W. BENDER
  
    Samuel W. Bender, 75, of Star Route, Springs, died April 6, 1984, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    He was born Jan. 5, 1909, in Elk Lick Township, the son of the late
  William J. and Susan (Hostetler) Bender.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Miller; two sons;
  three brothers; and four sisters.
    He is survived by his wife, Amanda (Zook) Bender; two sons, Harvey G.
  Bender, Salisbury RD 1; Enos M. Bender, Star Route, Springs; one borther,
  Iddo Bender, Belleville, Pa.; one sister, Annie Bender of Springs; and 18
  grandchildren.
    He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church of Niverton where services
  were held Monday at 10 a.m.
    Friends were received at his residence.  Intement, Niverton Cemetery. 
  Arrangements were under the direction of the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.
