  Joseph Benedict Jr., 51, Somerset, died April 25, 2005, at Somerset Hospital
  with his loving family by his side. Born June 13, 1953, in Latrobe, he is the
  son of the late Joseph Andrew and Rose Marie (Prah) Benedict Sr. Also preceded
  in death by a brother, Gerard Benedict; grandson, Alexander Paul and nephew,
  Anthony Benedict. Survived by his wife, the former Karen L. Baker; daughter,
  Kristina Jo King and husband, Brad, Somerset; grandchildren: Nathan, Raeann,
  Brooke and Joey. Brother of Terry Benedict, married to the former Marlene
  Alwine; Darlene Bauer and husband, Edwin; Sandy Walker and husband, Barry, all
  of Somerset; Debi Larimore and husband, Gary, California; and David Benedict,
  married to the former Lori Sobecky, Friedens. Also a number of nieces; nephews;
  great-nieces; great-nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Member of Grace
  United Methodist Church; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; Rockwood American Legion Post
  279; and life member of Somerset VFW Post 554. He was an avid hunter and
  fisherman. Employed as a carpet installer. Army veteran serving in Korea.
  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, until the time of
  service, in the Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Olson
  officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be
