  BENNETT
  
    Sibyl Virginia Bennett, 77, Somerset, died June 3, 2000, at her
  residence.  Born Aug. 11, 1922, in Somerset, a daughter of Ethel Margaret
  Pugh.  Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar French Bennett, who died
  Feb. 9, 1970, and a daughter, Kathleen Bennett Vogel, who died Sept. 28,
  1989.  Survived by her mother of Somerset; three sons, Michael R. Bennett,
  Ironvile, Jerry A. Bennett, North Lawrence, Ohio, and Thomas D. Bennett of
  Somerset; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Member of the First
  United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the church choir for 40
  years.  A 1940 graduate of Somerset Area High School.  Retired from the
  Bender Shoe Company in 1985 after 15 years of service.  Friends will be
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset.  Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First
  United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Patricia M. Nelson, and
  Rev. Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment, St. Johns Cemetery.  No
  viewing at the church.  Contributions may be made to the Somerset "In
  Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa., 15501.
