  BESSIE BENNING
  
    Mrs. Bessie Leora Benning, 72, Fairhope RD 1, died December 29, 1976 in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born May 28, 1904 in Bedford County, she
  was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Lizzie (Brick) Hartge.
    Preceded in death by her husband, William H. in 1973 and one son, she is
  survived by these children: James, Ralph, Leona, Chaney and Kenneth, all of
  Fairhope RD 1; Merle, Rockwood RD 2; 23 grandchildren and nine
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Emma Robb, Fairhope RD 1.  Friends
  were received in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, where services
  were held with the Rev. A. C. Tasker officiating.  Interment, Miller
  Cemetery, Fairhope RD 1.
