  WILLIAM H. BENNING
  
    William H. Benning, 83, of Fairhope RD 1, died June 12, 1973, at his
  home.  Born March 3, 1890, he was a son of Adam and Sarah (Ohler)
  Benning.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Besse Hartge; and these children:
  James, Ralph, Leona Chaney and Kenneth, all of Fairhope RD 1; Merle of
  Rockwood RD 2; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  He was a
  brother of George Benning of Friedens; Mrs. Annie Seifert, Berlin RD 1; and
  Mrs. William (Jennie) Saylor, Berlin RD 3.
    Funeral service was held Thursday afternoon in Johnson and Son Funeral
  Home, Berlin.  Interment in Miller Cemetery, Fairhope.
