  BENNIS
  
  Philip H. Bennis, 702 Wayne St., died March 24, 1977, at Cambria County
  Nursing Care Center.  Born in New York City son of Abraham and Rebecca
  (Pelhman) Bennis.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Harry; and
  sister, Ida.  Survived by widow, former Minerva Hoffman, and daughter,
  Patricia Ann, at home.  Member of Beth Shalom Congregation, Johnstown
  Masonic Lodge 538 and Johnstown Elks Lodge 175.  Retired buyer of Glosser
  Bros. Store, where he was employed for 30 years.  Friends received from 7
  to 9 p.m. Saturday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, where service will
  be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Rabbi R. A. Sholoff and the Rev. Dr. Robert
  Gordon.  Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, friends may
  contribute to Beth Shalom congregation.
