  BENNY
  
    Joseph R. "Bob" Benny Jr., 59, West Baker-Whitely Road, Hooversville RD,
  died Aug. 25, 1997, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born March 4, 1938, in
  Johnstown, son of Joseph R. Sr. and Margaret (Bededa) Benny.  Survived by
  parents; wife, the former Betty Mitchell; children: Marie (Benny) Berkebile
  and Joseph R. Benny III, married to Kimberly Boden, all of Hooversville RD;
  and four grandchildren:  Kristi, Joseph IV and Jessica Benny and Billy
  Berkebile.  Brother of Richard, married to Judy Murphy, Somerset; Barbara,
  Corpus Christi, Texas; Dorothy, New Orleans, La.; and Shirley, wife of
  Frank Mayak, Stoystown.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 
  Member of the U.M.W. of A.  Former employee of the Reitz Coal Co.  Would
  have observed 37th wedding anniversary Nov. 12, 1997.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main
  Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the
  Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.  Memorials
  to the family would be appreciated.
