She was born, April 28, 1917, in Waynesboro, the daughter of Ira and Elizabeth (Hoover) Weaver. On May 30, 1940, she was married to the late W. St.Clair Benshoff. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a niece Bonnie Weaver and grandson, Dustin Benshoff. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Donna Benshoff, Ashland; John and Pamela Benshoff, Ashland and David and Dee Benshoff, Maysville, Ky.; two brothers, William Weaver, Chambersburg and Warren Weaver, Greencastle; one niece, Pamela Knepper, Greencastle; four grandchildren, Brian Benshoff, Savannah; Ann Marie Benshoff, Paul Benshoff, both of Ashland, Darin Benshoff, Winchester, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Sabrina Benshoff and Lane Benshoff, Ashland. She was an elementary school teacher at the former Grant Street School in Ashland and also at schools in Illinois, Maryland and Indiana. She and her husband also served as pastor and pastor's wife in the Brethren Church for 51 years. She was an active member of the Park Street Brethren Church where she was past president of the Women's Missionary Society-Faith Circle. She also taught the Truthseekers Sunday school class for many years. She and her husband enjoyed playing piano/organ duets and played numerous concerts in many circles. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday the time of memorial service at the Park Street Brethren Church. The Rev. Dr. Arden Gilmer officiating. Heyl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
