  BENSON
  
    Helen E. Benson, 99, Somerset, formerly of Friedens, died Sept. 27, 1996,
  at Patriot Manor.  Born Oct. 6, 1896, in Johnstown, daughter of Henry and
  Lucinda Lear.  Preceded in death by parents, husband, Earl M. "Mike,"
  infant daughter, Dorothy, and her brothers and sisters.  Survived by son,
  C. Roy, married to the former Neva Zerfoss, granddaughter, Lori, married to
  Dennis Zolla and great-granddaughter, Sheena Zolla, all of Friedens.  Member
  of Friedens Lutheran Church and former member of D.A.R.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. James R. Ling
  officiating.  Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, Memorial contributions
  may be given to Friedens Lutheran Church, Friedens, Pa. 15541.
