    Helen Mae "Dolly" Benson, 69, 116 Mayer Ave., Johnstown, died Dec. 1,
  1983, at Memorial Hospital. 
    Born Sept. 3, 1914, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of late James and
  Mary E. Spence.
    She is survived by husband, Edgar R. Jr.; and son, James R., married to
  former Donna Jean Murray, Mechanicsburg; also grandchildren, Matthew and
  Ryan.
    She was a sister of Leona Siehl, Vivian Donges, James O. Spence and
  Robert D. Spence, all of Meyersdale; Ruth E. Prichard, Frostburg, Md.; and
  Verna Davis, Johnstown.
    She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ; Graduate of CVMH
  School of Nursing and life member of the alumni association; Retired
  private duty nurse.
    Friends were received at The Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 
  where service was held with the Rev. Dr. Merle D. Correll officiating. 
  Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
