(Spiker) Berchick, 75, of Thomas Street, Hollsopple died Aug. 18, 2000 at Windber Hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1925 in Conemaugh Township. Daughter of Calvin and Nellie (Fisher) Spiker. Preceded in death by parents, husband Frank J. Sr. on July 25, 1988, brothers Ellsworth, Charles "Bustie" and Calvin "Jace"; sisters Goldie Black and Betty Tomko, and daughter-in-law Kathy (Palmer) Berchick. Survived by children, William "Bill" of Hollsopple, Alice King of Davidsville, Carol Ann Berchick, Hollsopple, Frank Jr. "Cork," Davidsville, and Helen wife of Ron Deist, with whom she resided. Eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Also sister Shirley "Janie" Spiker, Hollsopple, and brothers Robert "Bobby" of Blough and Tom of Hollsopple. Member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Johnstown. Life long resident of Hollsopple. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Rd., Davidsville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Rev.
