She was born March 18, 1917, in Larimer Township, a daughter of the late Irvin and Alberta (Miller) Bittner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Berg in 1983; brothers, Donald and Kenneth Bittner and sister, Marion "Betty" CalL. She is survived by two children, Carol, wife of Wendall Engle, Olmsted Falls, Ohio; and Robert and his wife, Kathleen Berg, Taylor, Mich.; four grandchildren, Robert Berg Jr. and Bonnie Rowley, both of Taylor, Mich.; Teresa Petsock, Strongsville, Ohio, and Scott Engle, Greenville, Ind.; three great- grandchildren, Michael Arman, Jennifer and Rodger Rowley all of Taylor, Mich., also two brothers Darrell Bittner, Meyersdale, Melvin Bittner of New Jersey and sister, Anna Platek, Pittsburgh. She was a member of Amity UCC and retired employee of Meyersdale Manufacturing Co. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home where service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Bruce Ashlock officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery. The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Area Agency of Meals on Wheels in her name.
