EMANUEL BERKEBILE

  Emanuel Berkebile, aged 78, died Monday morning at his home at Kimmelton, 
following an illness of four years of heart trouble.  He had been bedfast for 
several days.
  Surviving are his wife, a daughter, and these brothers and sisters:  Samuel 
Berkebile, of Friedens; James Berkebile, of Pittsburgh; Jacob Berkebile, of 
Hooversville; Mrs. Newcomer, of Adams; Mrs. Sarah Critchfield, of Bedford 
County, and Mrs. Salome Critchfield, of Johnstown.  Funeral services were 
conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Kimmelton Evangelical Church.  
Rev. N. A. Pearce, of Somerset, and the Rev. H. H. Tyson, of Kimmelton, 
officiated.  Interment in the Stoyestown Cemetery.
