  BERKEBILE
  
  Floyd F. Berkebile Sr., 84, Stoystown, died April 26, 1997, at Siemon
  Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born May 17, 1912, in Hooversville, son of Clarence
  and Mabel (Manges) Berkebile.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Bobby;
  brothers, Lewis and Fordice.  Survived by his wife of 67 years, the former
  Thelma Ann Smith; sons:  Floyd Jr., married to former Gloria Pfeifer, and
  Dwight, married to former Patricia Manges, both of Stoystown;
  grandchildren:  Debra, married to Rickie Buchanan, and Edward, married to
  former Lisa Gerhardt; great-grandchildren:  Rebecca and Kimberly Buchanan
  and Benjamin and Douglas Berkebile.  Brother of Rush Berkebile, Jenners;
  Hazel Baker, Stoystown, and Rachael Thompson, Hooversville.  Retired coal
  miner.  Member of Kantner United Methodist Church; UMWA; and Somerset
  County Sportsmen's Association.  Charter member of Quemahoning Rod and Gun
  Club.  Formerly served on Upper Stonyucreek [sic] Joint Municipal
  Authority.  Family received friends Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held 11 a.m. today, the Rev. Jason McQueen
  and the Rev. Dean Pizer.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. 
  Memorial contributions may be given to Quemahoning Rod and Gun club, c/o
  Arthur Olsen.
