  HAROLD C. BERKEBILE
  
    Harold C. Berkebile, 81, Hooversville R.D. 1., died Oct. 29, 1980, at
  Memorial Hospital.
    He was born Feb. 25, 1899, in Quemahoning Township, son of Elmer E. and
  Mary E. (Buhan) Berkebile.  He was preceded in death by parents; son,
  Melvin Edward; brothers, Clyde, Irvin, Fred and Stewart; and sisters,
  Mabel, Hazel and Annie.
    He is survived by widow, former Nettie A. Housel, and these children: 
  Kimmel, married to former Donna Watkins,  Hooversville R.D.1; Reba, wife of
  Lenord Birtle, Brooksville, Fla.; Betty, wife of John Inscho, Johnstown;
  Mervin, married to former Elsie Pennel, Johnstown; Imogene, wife of Richard
  Kipp, Perryville, Md.; Donald, Married to former Betty Lambert, Hollsopple
  R.D. 1; Ellis, married to former Beverly Weaver, Johnstown R.D. 2; Robert,
  married to former Joyce Cortese, Hollsopple R.D. 2; Gary married to former
  Peggy Kipp, Grantsville, Md.; and Dawna Berkebile, at home; also 34
  grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of Dolly
  McClemmens, widow of Samuel McClemmens, Johnstown.
    He was a farmer in Quemahoning Township for 50 years.  He was an employee
  of Sunnehanna Country club from 1955 to 1972; member of Hooversville
  Sportsmen's Club.  Life-long area resident.
    Friends were received at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Elvin Holsopple.  Interment, St.
  Thomas Lutheran Cemetery.
