  BERKEBILE
  
  Irvin S. (Ernie) Berkebile, Sr., 66, of Kantner, died Feb. 24, 1978 in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 4, 1911, in Hooversville, son of
  John A. and Freda Eash Berkebile.  Preceded in death by parents, son Irvin,
  Jr., and brother, Willard.  survived by his widow, the former Hazel Kennell,
  daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Joanne) Super, Kantner; five grandchildren, Jodell,
  Bonnie, Sherry Super, Scott and Brad Berkebile.  He was a brother of Mrs.
  Robert ( Ethel) Fennel, Mrs. Betty Ellis, Mrs. Michael (Arlene) Tkach, Mrs.
  Dolores Zolla, and John, all of Youngstown, Ohio.  He was a retired
  inspector for PennDot, member of the Kantner United Methodist Church. 
  Death ends a marriage union of 48 years.  Family received friends Friday
  evening and will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
  on Sunday with the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating.  Internment,
  Oddfellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
