  BERKEBILE
  
  Kenneth P. Berkebile, 86, Hooversville, died Sept. 30 at Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 24, 1902, in Hooversville, son of Pershing and Nora
  (Dempsey) Berkebile.  Preceded in death by parents, two brothers and a
  sister.  Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Josephine Berkebile,
  and children D. Wayne, married to the former Delores McKenna, Hooversville,
  Wallace, married to the former Barbara Paul, Stoystown RD 2, Terry, married
  to the former Louella Walker, Stoystown, Gene, married to the former
  Barbara Horner, Krings, and Mrs. David (Denise) Laugerman, York, 12
  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Brother of Wilbur of
  Honesdale, and Robert of Baltimore.  Member of Hooversville United
  Methodist Church, Somerset County Beagle Club and UMWA Local 1023, Central
  City.  He was a lifetime member of Hooversville Volunteer Fire Company,
  former president of Upper Stonycreek Joint Municipal Authority and a former
  borough council member.  Family will receive friends 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, HOOVERSVILLE, where service will be 11 a.m. Monday, the
  Revs. Ed Fritz and Gerald L. Myers officiating.  Interment, P.O.S. of A.
  Cemetery, Hooversville.  Memorials may be given to Hooversville United
  Methodist church.
